Nintendo continues to add to their impressive roster of characters available in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, the… well, ultimate version of the legendary fighting series. The newest addition of Minecraft characters are sure to keep players entertained. Soon, you will be able to play as Steve and Alex, the main characters of the ever-popular building simulator, as the Minecraft favorites will soon be available on the Switch fighting game.
Steve and Alex are just two of the six characters that will be available in the second edition of the downloadable Fighters Pass Volume 2, which can be purchased for $29.99 or as individual challenger packs for $5.99. Masahiro Sakurai, the director of Super Smash Bros Ultimate stated that it was difficult to balance the block-shaped characters to the graphics of the game so that they could effectively use their battle techniques. Sakurai noted that Steve and Alex will be a lot different than other characters.
Other characters from Minecraft that players can battle with include the Enderman and the zombie. There are also seven Minecraft music tracks included with the downloadable pack. The merger brings together the characters from one of the top-selling video games of all time with one of the most popular Switch games.
