The international Talk Like a Pirate Day was on September 19 but in order to celebrate it properly, Valve is still holding a decent general sale on its popular gaming platform Steam.

The promotion encompasses a variety of games, most notably, as you might have guessed, those that are first and foremost pirate-themed. A number of pirate-themed games that weren’t discounted still got featured on the front page of the Steam storefront. Some of the games that were included in the sale were definite pirate-themed games; however, some were a bit more of a stretch.

For example, Pillars Eternity 2: Deadfire, is a party-based fantasy role playing game (RPG), but since players explore islands and travel aboard a sail ship, the game is considered “pirate-themed”. Solar Sails and The Tropico games were also included in the sale, as well as a game titled Girls’ Civilization 2VR. One of the most notable pirate-themed games was V ARRR. In the HTC Vive game, players must keep pirates at bay and prevent them from attacking their ships.

Other games included Abandon Ship, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Sea of Thieves, Monkey Island, Maelstrom, and Sid Meier’s Pirates! If you’re looking for a new game to play and you like pirates, head over to Steam.
